| Representatives
of CBS Blooms, A Global Imaging Systems Company with offices in
Norwalk and Rocky Hill, accept plaque of appreciation in recognition
of the company’s support to the Stratford-based international
non-profit Glacier Society. Bernard G. Koether II of Westport (right)
society chairman, makes the presentation to CBS’ Norwalk-based
account executives Michael Caporizzo and Christine D’Amico.
The company’s contribution was a copier machine that was delivered
to the Glacier Society’s Fort Lauderdale, FL office. The society
is restoring the former USS/USCGG Glacier, a state-of-the-art icebreaker
that was decommissioned in 1987 after 32 years of service and 39
missions to the Arctic region. The ship will return to public service
as a health care delivery vehicle to provide critically needed medical
service to thousands of indigenous peoples in the Arctic Basin.
